On Saturday, April 1st, the Alpha Delta chapter hosted a successful parent’s weekend event in conjunction with the Sigma Kappa sorority. This was also our first registered parent’s weekend in almost four years. Hosting over 400 guests in our spacious backyard, the event included a live musical performance from Ted McCloskey and the Hifi’s, a full catering spread, refreshments, lawn games, and even a water ice cart! Chi Phi brothers, Sigma Kappa sisters, parents, and siblings alike enjoyed blue skies and 70 degree weather for the majority of the afternoon. Although, in classic State College fashion, some storm clouds rolled in around 4pm. In addition to a great event, we also were able to organize a successful food drive benefitting the Lion’s Pantry, a local food bank in State College. In order to commemorate the event, we set up a t-shirt order for members of our organizations and their parents. They turned out great, with over 300 t-shirts being ordered. It was a pleasure having the families at the house, and I know we are all very excited for next year’s event!
Fraternally,
