Pledge Class: Kappa

Roles: Academic Chair, Rush Committee, Social Committee, and Assistant New Member Educator

How has Chi Phi impacted you?
Chi Phi has shaped who I am by making me into the man I am today. It taught me respect, personal integrity, and most importantly determination. I truly believe that Chi Phi has improved my life tremendously since joining. I have had the interesting experience of joining as a junior since I transferred from a Penn State Satellite campus. The brotherhood at Chi Phi immediately welcomed me. They gave me friends, opportunities to get involved, and most importantly brothers.

What’s your favorite Chi Phi memory?
Going to Punta Cana for spring break with around 35 of our brothers and getting really close together during the trip.

What are your plans post-graduation?

Nick Margay

Pledge Class: Eta

Roles: Rush chairSocial chair, New Member Educator

How has Chi Phi impacted you?
Chi phi helped me to think about things differently, not everything is how it seems in life. I definitely came into the house with many preconceptions and judgements about people and school. I just realized through living with many people that were so different from me that you can’t think that way or else you’ll miss out on so much in life.

What’s your favorite Chi Phi memory?
The huge BBQ and slip and slide we had during Rush my first year as Rush chair. We had tons of food and drinks and a lot of people came out, the weather was fantastic and everyone just had a great time. It was the first successful event I put on myself and I was really proud of it. Being Rush chair and Social chair spurred my love for setting up events like my greatest event which was the Mir Fontane concert.

What are your plans post-graduation?
After graduation I’ll be moving to the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area to work for Marsh and McLennon as an Insurance Broker working with Property and Casualty Insurance as well as my specialty of Employee Health and Benefits Insurance.
